Georgia Bone & Joint has added an additional Physician Assistant our practice. We are delighted to introduce James Smith, PA-C (aka Rusty) as a new member of our orthopedic team. Rusty was a firefighter and paramedic in Fayette county when he decided that he would like to be able to increase the level of care that he provide for others by going back to school to acquire a degree as a Physician Assistant. He has been working and residing in the Fayette, Coweta, and Pike County area since 1998. Since graduating from the Medical College of Georgia where he acquired his Masters of Physicians Assistant and practiced in a few different areas of medicine he has found that he possesses a passion for orthopedics. He is married with 2 extremely active children, 3 dogs, and 4 birds that keep him occupied outside of the office. He and his family take pleasure in spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. Rusty also likes to root for his favorite football team when he can, Roll Tide.
